Garner, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?
Brad Lidge puts two runners on with no outs in the bottom of the 9th, so Garner leaves him in.. He's already put two runners on in the 8th inning and barely squeaked by that without giving up the game winning run. Then he leaves Lidge in for the rest of the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. So that doesn't really make sense to me... but I guess I'm ok with it since Brad has a really good chance of getting a strike out.
So Lidge gets the lead runner at 3rd on a sacrifice bunt attempt. Then strikes out the next guy to leave runners on 1st and 2nd now with 2 outs. So what does Garner do? He brings in Wheeler! WHY? Lidge actually has momentum now! He just got himself out of a huge jam and you pull him to bring in another righty! WHY? Me and my bro are like "what the **** are you thinking Gar??"
Surely enough, first pitch, base hit to right, game over. Nice job Garner... just freaking brilliant.

i agree that was single A manager style! that suked. why is everett still in the lineup as well, get burke in there, **** ss isnt that hard, put him there, bring up so guys from AAA, jokes over, play to win, i dont care who sits! and now that wilson has signed with the cards watch him go nuts! just are luck.

Yea I don't get it either about Everett.. From all of the interviews I've heard, evidently Garner doesn't think Burke can play short stop... but I guess Garner needs to learn, that unlike in Football where defense wins championships, this is baseball where offense and pitching win championships.. not defense.. even if Burke was a subpar short stop, if he batted 270+ and gave a power chance, he'd be worth putting in there.
