Backe Sent to DL, Wandy Recalled from Triple A
Backe's elbow is bothering him again... they haven't done an MRI on him yet, but from a non-doctor, fan only point of view... he's not going to pitch again this season and will need surgery.
After missing almost half of the season on the DL trying to get his elbow well, it started hurting him again after the game before last. After last nights game he went to Hickey and Garner and let them know it didn't feel right... They just put him on the DL for now, but I'm guessing he'll miss the rest of the seasons.. what a shame.
Wandy started tonight against the Brewers... I was really hoping to see Borkowski start tonight, but they gave Wandy the nod anyways.. Wandy took Backe's spot on the roster and will probably stay up until he blows it.. again.
Why didn't they just let Borkowski pitch tonight? And where is Chris Sampson?? AND, WHY did Lidge get to pitch, again. Hello, he's losing our ballgames...take him out for a few games...or the rest of the season. Play some good guys. Lidge and Qualls needs to go to AAA for a lil while. Wandy did okay for tonight, but lets hope if he starts again that he looks better past 3 innings. Play Miller, Springer, and Borkowski more.

bork should be the 5th man , this team is really ticking me off. way to back up your national league championship guys. Stop whinning bout who did this or that and put up or shut up! is that simple enough for you astros.

i think lidge is done, he needs another pitch, the slider isnt sliding and the fastball is sooooo predictable. Wagner where areyou, oh thats right a met along with our all-star centerfielder beltran! nice job management, ahhh what could of been!

I can't blame the Astros for getting rid of Wagner and losing Beltran for multiple reasons..
I think Garner has something against giving Borkowski a chance.. no idea what the deal is there.. it seems like he takes every other option instead of Borkowski at all times.. even going as far as bringing up Wandy who was getting totally hammered in Triple-A. Wandy didn't deserve that shot, anyone else did..
