Astros Owned
The Astros (Hirsh/Borkowski) are getting rocked, giving up 13 runs and the 4th inning is only 1/3 over. The Reds already have 13 hits in the game. Hirsh went 2 and 2/3rds of an inning, giving up 9 hits, 10 ERs with 2 home runs. Borkowski relieved in him the 3rd and has given up 4 hits, 3 runs with 2 home runs in his 1 1/3 inning pitched. Hey, the Reds only scored one run in the 4th!
On the good side, Taveras got a hit and put his hit streak up to 25 games; he's now tied with Jeff Kent for the Astros record. House is in at first base and Lamb moved over to 2nd.
You can basically call this game over.. but stranger things have happened... I'll keep watching the game, but I won't be on the edge of my seat, that's for sure. The Reds are starting to pull some of their starters.. We've got them right where we want them!
Nice optimism, Thomas. I had to turn the game off-- it was too painful!!! Your stinkin' Hirsh has not impressed me much! Where's Chris Sampson? I'm ready to go ahead and give up on this season. I would love for them to do something miraculous and prove me wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up!

My Hirsh? I wanted them to give him a chance and they did.. now send him back down and bring Sampson back up. Hirsh didn't look good in either of his first two starts.. I don't think I would have given him the 3rd start. Course I wouldn't give Wandy another start either, but we both know he'll start his next chance.
We're not mathematically eliminated yet.. I sorta wish we were.. Biggio batted 6th tonight.. it's about **** time.. he's terrible on the road.

Sorry, Thomas! I called him yours because you had been so excited about him coming up and looking so forward to him pitching for the 'Stros! (I may have been, too, if I had been aware of his stats in AAA!) I don't blame you for not wanting to claim him now. I can understand the Astros giving him the start yesterday more than I understand them continuing to turn to Wandy!
I'm excited about Chris Sampson being called back up! I hope they actually give him a chance this time!
