Roger's Back!
Roger Clemens makes
his 2006 MLB debut with the Houston Astros tomorrow, June 22 against the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 PM CST at Minute Maid Park. You can still get tickets to the game if you hurry, but you better not be picky. The best single seat ticket you can get when I checked at 3:42 pm is in section 409 in the upper decks of Minute Maid Park. If you want two tickets together then you're going to have to settle for standing room only which will run you 10 bucks at the gate. Hopefully the "Rocket" can start this season off like he did last season where he posted a 1.87 ERA. The Astros sure could use a good reliable pitcher with a sub 3.0 ERA(who couldn't?).
Wandy Rodriguez(8-4, 4.59) takes the hill tonight at 7:05 PM against the Twins who send out their struggling righty Carlos Silva(3-8, 7.08 ERA). Wandy has gotten pretty good run support this season and hopefully it will continue. A nice winning streak to welcome Roger after losing 3 of the last 4 would be a nice welcome home gift.
Go 'Stros!

Thomas,
I have to go with the twins for both games tonight and tommorrow...Wandy and roger are not good enough for the Minnesota twins

I post at http://brewcrew.mlblogs.com. I am relocating with my family down to Houston in early September. I am hoping I get a chance to see the Rocket before then.

Kaylee, not sure if I should take you serious or not.. Wandy has been decent this year and his ERA is almost 3 points better than your starting pitcher tonight. And Roger Clemens is Roger "freaking" Clemens... How can you say he's not good enough for the now 35-35 Twins?
Nathan, well you should get a good chance, they have a 10 game homestand starting on September 15th so as long as Roger's healthy, I don't see why you couldn't catch a game.
