Top 10 Burning Questions for 2006

I'm going to take his questions and answer them myself!

1. Top dog in 2006 will be ...?
I'd love to say the Astros, but we've got too many question marks(namely the bottom 3 in the starting rotation).  Since I have to choose, I'll say the /shudders/ Yankees. 

2. How will Barry Bonds' assault on home run history end?
Unfortunately, I think he'll get it.  He'll hit 30+ this year and the next if he stays healthy.  I highly doubt anything will come from the steroids investigation.  He might retire first, but I doubt it.  He's going to at least take # 2 spot from "America's white hero". 

3. How will the Barry Bonds/steroids affair play out?
It'll play out as a big waste of time and money on the part of MLB.  They might gain some more information, but it's not going to change anything.  Most people already believe Barry is a juicer and making that 100% positive is only going to convince the minority.

4. Who will be the beasts of the Easts?
Yankees and Braves like always.  Sorry Blue Jays, you don't have enough.  Sorry Mets, all of that money you spent on the off season just went to a waste. 

5. Who will emerge from the gruesome fray in the AL Central?
The KC Royals..  wait a minute.. kidding of course.  The White Sox are the team to beat.  They haven't lost anything and gained Thome.  They are the champs until proven otherwise.

6. Are the A's ready to return to the playoffs?
Of course they are ready.. but tell that to the Rangers.. I think the Rangers will take the AL West.  The A's might take the wild card, but I think that slots reserved for the Red Sox.

7. Will the Marlins be on the move?
Yep.. to the cellar with you!  I think they'll be a .500 club this year. 

8. When will labor strife rear its ugly and unwelcome head?
Nah, I think things will go smoothly this time around.  All's great in baseball land.

9. Will "King Felix" take the next step forward?
Magic 8 ball says : ask again later.  ******!  Yea he'll take the next step forward.. but don't expect the Cy Young.   This year..

10. Will Hall-of-Fame voters penalize Mark McGwire?
Umm.. I'm not here to comment about the future.  I'm not here to comment about the future.  Yea they'll penalize him.. he won't make it the first try, or the 2nd try.. but he'll make it before the 15th.
